Seymour enjoyed a cool breeze and a lovely view of the Burrard Street Bridge from Granville Island's promenade.
He was about to ask a seagull if he had seen Pierre, but Seymour became distracted by the view of the dwellings on the other side of Burrard Inlet and the gull flew the coop before he could be questioned.
He canvassed the locals to see if they knew where he might find Pierre, but they were busy scrounging for scraps of food and ignored Seymour. (Seymour didn't mind being ignored by this particular group - their dining manners were atrocious!)
He stopped dead in his snail trail when he saw a busker and an open guitar case - he had an odd sense of deja vu. He stayed awhile to enjoy the serenade and tapped his foot in time with the music.
Seymour gave up on finding Pierre on Granville Island and decided to look around the bustling place just for the sheer joy of it. He ended up at the Kid Zone in a bookstore with an amazing selection of educational books. There was one book in particular that fascinated him and he settled in for a long read on how to get in touch with his "inner snail".
