Seymour Says Good-Bye to the Gardens

Seymour said good-bye to his friends at the garden pond,

took a shortcut through the clover patch,

and visited the gift shop on his way out. He met a family of snails there and attempted to chat with them, however, they were hard types unwilling to move so much as an eyeball tentacle to acknowledge Seymour's presence ...

... and the only other snail he met in the gift shop was childish beyond words.

Seymour left the gardens and paused to admire the totem pole outside the entrance.

The figure on the bottom of the pole tried most earnestly to tell Seymour something, but the poor fellow's throat was so dry he couldn't even breathe a sound between his cracked lips.

Attempting conversation with the totem pole had made Seymour desperately thirsty and hungry. Fortunately a chariot awaited and he was soon speeding towards a popular Cambie Street restaurant.
