Seymour decided it was time to leave the entrancing beauty of Van Dusen Gardens and he set out towards the exit. He was now deep into the gardens and his journey was long and arduous - he faced raging white water ...
... at times it was all uphill ...
... and then there was the maze to navigate his way through.
Seymour's mood lightened when he passed glorious mass plantings of unusual perennials like these bear's britches (acanthus mollis) ...
... and simple plantings of popular annuals ...
... and elegant architectural accents.
Of course for functional purposes, not all of the architecture was elegant. Seymour accepted this because he understood that when a snail has gotta go, a snail has gotta go and as luck would have it, Seymour had to go.
