Seymour wandered through the many interesting sealife-filled galleries of the Vancouver Aquarium, searching for clues as to Pierre's whereabouts.
The jellyfish were lovely to look at but had no information to pass along to Seymour; they were too busy with their underwater ballet performance.
Ah ha, here was reference to snails - how insightful of the Aquarium to include educational information about such a wee but stalwart species.
Seymour attempted a conversation with an Arowana in the humid Graham Amazon Gallery , but the huge South American fish didn't seem to understand North American snail.
The trainers were nice, but they hadn't seen Pierre.
Seymour looked into the dolphin pool; the dolphin there was obviously highly intelligent and he jumped through hoops trying to help Seymour find Pierre, but to no avail.
There was a man just outside the Aquarium who was heels over head about the opportunity to spend time with Seymour.
He was extremely patriotic and after posing with Seymour he played the Canadian national anthem on his kazoo and made a tube balloon snail for Seymour, to keep him company until he located Pierre. Despite this charming fellow's attempts to cheer Seymour, the poor little snail felt as deflated as the tube balloon snail soon was.
Seymour crawled to a shady spot to ponder his situation and soon fell fast asleep.
